This year the Foundation is presenting one individual with the Leslie Bernstein Grant and two will receive the Bernstein Resident Research Grant. They will be acknowledged at the 2024 Academic Practice and Research Forum which will be held immediately following the Welcome Reception at the Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA.
2024 Bernstein Grant
Natalie Krane , MD
Dr. Krane is receiving the Leslie Bernstein Grant. She is an Assistant Professor at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR. Her research project is titled "Guided Mindfulness Meditation for Pain Control After Septorhinoplasty."
2024 Resident Research Grant
Rahul Sharma, MD
Dr. Sharma is a resident at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is receiving the Bernstein Resident Research grant for his research project titled
"Dry-Needling for Midface and Neck Pain in Synkinetic Patients."

Roy Xiao, MD
Dr. Xiao is a resident at Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston. He has been awarded the Resident Research grant his submission
"Developing a Wearable Device to Restore Spontaneous Symmetric Facial Movement."
