Wallace K. Dyer Clinical Investigation Award

Purpose of Award
The Educational and Research Foundation for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery has established a Wallace K. Dyer Clinical Investigation Award intended to provide funding to AAFPRS members who don’t normally participate in research projects but demonstrate an interest in furthering the profession. These grants are meant to foster career development and provide mentorship to members. The purpose of these awards is to encourage young surgeons to pursue valid ideas by providing grants to offset expenses. It is the intent of the Foundation and the Academy to expand clinical and basic science research to provide high quality evidence to identify best practice.

Available Awards
Each Award will be for $2,500. More than one Award per year may be present based on the approved annual budget for the Research Center. The Academy reserves the right to withhold up to ten per cent (10%) of the grant until such time that the research project is completed, and all requirements have been met.

Each year the Board of Directors and/or the AAFPRS Research Committee may identify research areas of strategic importance to the Academy and the specialty. Submissions in these identified areas may receive additional consideration in the final evaluation process. Please contact the Academy for additional information.
